A Letter to Elisbeth, Tûr of Warband of Imladris

Honoured Lady,

Throughout all time, the light of our people shines in the darkness. But the design of the Enemy is to keep us apart, because he could not keep light out of the world entirely; and when he could not do that, he spared no pains to sunder ties of kinship and set Men against us.

It is said in the Valley that the Enemy is preparing to strengthen his dominion by the continuation of destruction of the lives and lands of the Free Peoples everywhere, and moves forth to open War.

Vanimar is moving to assist the outposts in the Hithaeglir and would like to commence straightaway to provide aid.

Our mission is manifold:

Bring relief to the troops stationed in the mountains.

Rid the area of the pestilent Goblins.

Deal with any other wickedness and penetrate into Enemy territory as deep as conditions and circumstances allow, to assist with finding a band of lost travelers from the land of the Wood-Elves.

Truly, we do not know what awaits us in the mountains. There is only one certainty: that we must help, and very soon. A volume would be required, if I were to quote the Lords Anglachelm, Veryacáno, Tindir, Vorongwë and Dolthafaer on what should be done to restore peace, if peace we can call it. We must take action, and again shine a great light in the world.

And that is why it pleases me to ask the gallant Warband, if they are able and inclined to do so, if they will take up arms with Vanimar in its latest task against the Enemy?  It seems inevitable that we join forces, else why were we placed in the same time and place, against the same foe? I end this letter with all goodwill and hope for solidarity and thank you for its consideration, and have the honour to be,

Parnard,

Lord Ambassador of Bar-en-Vanimar.
