After about half an hour, two elves came to meet Eníredir outside the walls of the settlement. They claimed that Master Gildor called upon him, to hear his motives there. Eníredir followed them, but for his surprise they did not take him inside the walls, but to a small ruin outside them. They halted a few meters from it, and ordered him to continue towards the ruin. Entering it, he saw an elf standing there, looking towards the plains that crossed the North Downs.

The sun was high up in the sky, so it was probably about noon that Eníredir caught sight of a small settlement in the distance. As he got closer and closer, he started noticing beautiful shapes, arches of stones that rose above a path not made by human hands.
