What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

The late afternoon of the fourth day saw me ride into Celondim. I wanted to pick up a few resources from my house, and speak with the stone mason. As fortune would have it, a patrol was just passing Numenstaya and I joined them. Lelyaro has been to visit Barahirn, and spoke encouragingly to him. He was not to be concerned about the horses; there was someone on their way to act as temporary stable hand. The job would still be his if and when he wanted it.

The Bond of Family

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

Full seventy years have passed since the breaking of the world and the beginning of the new age, the Second Age as the chroniclers name it.  The Elves of Beleriand have established their new realm of Lindon in what remains of Ossiriand west of the Blue Mountains.  The King Gil-galad has taken his seat in the port city of Mithlond, and his people have begun

Raft in a bottle

Earcalie was rummaging in a big, heavy house chest made of oak and lined with iron studs. She seized the small room in the mansion that had once been her father's workshop, still filled with stacked construction materials, half finished projects and other memorabilia. Against one of the walls, a number of shelves hosted a collection of fancy ships inside bottles of various shapes and looks; mostly elven but also a few of old numenorian make and even a Dalish knarr. What Earcalie was searching for however, was none of those.

A gift for Naergon

Earcalie yawned, leaning against the low stone wall in front of Celondim's docks. She had no patience for waiting on people and the fisherman going to and fro along the wooden planks stopped being interesting after maybe a couple minutes. There were no ships on the horizon anyway so what was he even fussing about, she had no idea. Even her dog stopped chasing the fisherman's cat, joining her in a synchronized yawn. Well... it was partially her fault for not sending a note to Naergon asking to meet at the docks, instead thinking it would be nice to surprise him.

Of Concern and Hope again.

Now it was that yester-eve I sat upon the sward overlooking the docks at Celondim, and pondered the courses of my life that had led me to this point.

Sojourn in Celondim - Part I

Of Pride....and Celondim.

I stood by his side in silence for some time. Words would add naught. We needed nothing but the beauty of the stars above us. Peace there was….almost. Eventually he spoke. “This night has brought a wound that I did not expect. The joy of finding our friend here, after our searching. Yet he has such disdain in his heart?”

Even now you offer insult.

What began as a friendly hunt for rabbits in the hills behind Celondim, takes an unexpected turn.

And then....

We dismounted, leaving our horses in the care of a stable master I did not recognise. He told me Master Lelyar and (my steward) had appointed him a little over two years past, and that he was proud to serve. Lelyar and his wife, it seemed, had gone into Mithlond for supplies and were not expected back for a week or two. But there was food in the pantry and wine in the cellar,

I would make time to know all servants of my House, but Estarfin and I needed a little  rest and refreshment first, I felt.

And we arrived early in the afternoon. The last part of our ride was an easy one. I had a sense of coming home, though I was uncertain how Estarfin felt beyond his stated wish to be by the Sea again.

It was my hope these small halls, on the outer edges of the declining town, would give us space and sanctuary from much that had gone before. But as Estarfin said 'A war is coming'. Likely our 'sanctuary' would be a temporary one.
