Letter to my father, Wealda son of Herumer, in Combe

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

Dear father,

I bring you salutations from Bree, together with a few tidings and matters of import to our family. But first of all, stop blaspheming: I am sorry I put you through the torment of reading, I know how you loathe this. I promise next time either I will be the messenger, or someone trusted, who can tell you news of me.

A Letter from Daerundros to Minyelaire. It is currently resting in her pack, and she wonders when to send it off, but for now, she will not willingly show it to anyone.

I looked again – for the fourth or fifth time I think – at the letter and once more quietly cursed myself. I had never asked for this, oh no. Fate, it seemed, felt it knew better than I what I wanted. If only fate could be dealt with as easily as some of the other foes I had bested over the years.

My Dear Daerundros,

Your letter has reached me and your words touch me. But I am sorry, for I cannot return your feelings in kind.

A Letter to Lord Taramthir

Story

The Letter is discarded, crumpled, with several words here and there Scratched out. It must have been a very difficult task to write this letter: Tear-stains are visible on some of the parchment, smidging out some words, and there are various Ink blobs here and there.

Eregion, June 28

Dear Friend,

I shall have to interrupt my journey to the Woods due to grave news from the land south of here. I shall be departing immediately to help there to the best of my abilities.

Father, I hope and trust this letter finds you well and that your stand against the evil that has beset our beloved home is not in vain. I have finally reached the great mountains and joined the Dwarven expedition into Moria. Many of our kin have answered there call to assist them reclaim the mines but alas the cost has been heavy many have perished. Men, Elves Dwarves and even the little folk from the Shirelands have stood side by side in the struggle in this dark place.. perhaps even here when the price is so high hope blossoms as the free folk of this land stand together.

Suilad Father, It has been a good while since my last letter to you, I trust you are keeping well I have heard that the situation has not yet improved at home. Since my arrival at the House of Vanimar I have been made to feel most welcome, Lord Veryacano sends his warmest regards. My journeys have not been without incident, yet thus far I have prevailed if not by the grace of the Eldar.

Arathrandir, Friend and Captain, It has been long since we last spoke yet the time is nearing when our words will meet once more. Yet I write now of concern and trouble in lands which you have passed through before, yet linger again beneath the creeping Shadow of Angmar.
