His tattered cloak wrapped around his slender figure, the brooch upon his breast shining like freshly polished silver. He paused for but a moment, running his fingers across the worn, weathered wooden sign that simply read ‘Arrowhaven’.

Assaj preferred not to think anymore about what had just transpired between her and the one raised by golug. The anger and the threats that had emanated from him still lingered, despite his apology. She still didn't understand much, except for two things. He did not wish to be called Master and if he ever left her behind, she'd be irrevocably alone.

He had given her an opportunity to kill him, or to even leave him behind. And Assaj could've laughed at herself for not taking either option. She couldn't even tell herself why.

Rivendell. Last homely house or something, legendary refuge and she had not a single, infinitesimal idea of how to get there. Because of course it had to be in some mysterious hidden location, deep in the Trollshaws.
