He did ask for a HUGE muffin  ( to last him a week, he said )  but I have a feeling it will more likely last 3 hours , so what I did was to  prepare a big basket full of muffins and I even slipped in  a jar of pear jam and one of strawberry jam....this I hope will  keep him from starving for a few days....I hope....will it?

Afterlithe ( or June as the Big Folks call it) it's the best time of the year to harvest of the Hobbits favourite sweet crop. Strawberries were cultivated by the hobbits as early as the First Age. Strawberries are not only delicious but also regarded as an aphrodisiac and soup made of strawberries, porridge and soured cream are traditionally served to newly-weds hobbits at their wedding breakfast .

The stage for There And Back Again 2013 - I think we did find the perfect backdrop, just in front of Bag End, couse no matter what Lobelia and Otho Sackville-Baggins say,  Bag End IS  Bilbo’s home.

And so me and my brother Tahitoa did travel to Bywater yesterday afternoon  where the Summer Poetry Competition was to be held. We did arrive early , it was just us , so we spent an hour or so just enjoying the warm sunshine among the flowers on a late afternoon. Tall green grass blowing gently in the summer breeze.

And then suddenly I must have fallen asleep on the rug by the fire and I had this strange dream about  a young  hobbit been taken by brigands because they believe she is the only one that can find a precious gem into a cave.

Men of the north I think, one of them somehow looked familiar  but I could not recall when or where I  had met him before. They spoke  to Halson and between themselves in a strange language , and even if I am from Overhill ( and we all talk funny there) , I could not make what they were saying.

And so back to the Shire, home sweet little home in Brockenborings, close to our families and friends, before the time comes for more adventures.

And so here we descended upon Bywater, a small company of hobbits and friends, ready for some merrymaking. And it was going to be a lovely evening indeed. Music and ale, dancing on the tables, Tukko tripping on his feet and deciding he was too lazy to get up again, hugging his mug on the rug, laughter and giggles.
