Elven Mid-Winter

The majesty of Elbereth's stars light the way as Loth-i-Lonnath and friends walk with lanterns to Celondim.

Stars shine brightly as Loth-i-Lonnath and friends make their way to Celondim to celebrate an Elven Mid-Winter, Rhîw Dú-o Aglor Elin.

Hiril Lothoniel of Loth-i-Lonnath tells a story of Cuiviénen to the gathering as they walk. Here the procession pauses and she says, "Many strayed indeed and never reached the sea or even crossed it to behold the Blessed Realm. <She takes a moment to look at the group of elves walking the path with her> While our hearts may be set towards the west, there is much love too for what we have left behind in the east; Cuiviénen that is now no more.”

Night deepens as we proceed through Duillond. The lights of the city begin to turn on as Loth-i-Lonnath and friends pass through.

With our lanterns lit, Loth-i-Lonnath and friends walk from our gathering place near Thamas Lorn to Duillond while the sun sets and night begins.
