North into the Misties

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

Nothing could change the white scenery and especially not in a night. The group made a small, fireless at first, camp on the highest spot they found and stopped there to rest, while waiting for the army to pass out of sight which soon happened. Once they relaxed, not too soon after the whole affair, they set down to eat something and get some sleep. The night passed uneventfully and the morning came with no fire and it was even colder than the day before.

The Cold, Misty Mountains

The Misty Mountains ahead, Rivendell behind. The group walked up the path leaving the Elven settlement behind them with mixed and confused feelings. Even someone who isn't fond of Elves and their ways can be captivated by Imladris and that is what happened. That strange bliss  that fills one's heart there started to diminish once they all fully realised that they are leaving and entering the den of the wolves, but it's not the danger, it's the absence of that warmth that comes in RIvendell, the absence of...

The remaining townsfolk gathered behind the line of fighters. Even without understanding a word, Phaewyn knew what was happening. The fighters retreated slowly, everyone pressing towards the doors, with a few combattants in front of them, pushing the wooden gates open. Gæded saw the messenger appear, galloping fast on his horse. She wandered over to hear what he had to say, whilst the others enjoyed Lieta's stew. She did not like the news he brought, but there was no use hating him for it - now they had to get ready for the fast-approaching fight.

Death!

Gæded's heart raced as she stood before the closed gate. It was coming. These men, these soldiers, would fight for their home. So would she.

Death!

She felt slightly afraid, but she did not let it show. She was one of the eorlingas. She had to be brave.

Death!

She looked around her, at the men. Their golden hair glinted in the sunlight and their eyes sparkled with fear, excitement and determination. She felt those feelings too - she was not alone.

Death!

The Huntsmaster and Gaeded went out scouting, because of the orc threat. They saw an encampment upon the hill. Gaeded told Athlenah to climb up the rock to see the camp better. The Huntsmaster saw a path up and they quickly moved there. They managed to get in and found that it was empty.
