On his way to the Blue Mountains Numedal visited Hobbiton. At first he was amazed by the way of life of the hobbits, but he could not understand how can they live without wearing any shoes! Strange folk indeed...

As a shoemaker, Numedal traveled to the far eastern parts of Eriador and visited the elven heaven of Rivendell. There he made a beautiful pair of green leaf covered shoes for the lord Elrond.
