| Outward Appearance | At first glance one may notice the grace and fluidity of her movements, as if each motion is carefully and precisely measured with an elegance akin to a feline's. Her pale skin may be seen peeking out from under the deep cowl she frequently keeps over her head, as much to hide her fair features as for protection from the elements. When she speaks, she speaks softly but clearly in a calm cadence, her voice dulcet and almost melodic at times depending on the situation. At her left hip, a sword of elvish make rests, the gently curved crossguard gleaming like the finest silver and inscribed with delicate vinelike traceries. The hilt is covered in brown leather with fine wire made of twisted silver wrapped around it from the crossguard to the pommel. The scabbard is no less fine, wrapped in burnished leather with the silver chape shaped like two overlapping mallorn leaves and the throat also made of silver but engraved with vinelike traceries to match the pattern on the crossguard of the sword. The scabbard is attached to a burnished leather belt with a stamped mallorn leaf pattern running along its length and clasped with a slender silver buckle. |

Background
Born in Valinor in the Years of the Trees 1492, or forty-four solar years before the flight of the Noldor, Eredhrel is no stranger to hardship and sorrow. As a child of both Noldor and Falmari lineage, she greatly mourned the loss of her kin when Feänor and his sons committed the first Kinslaying at Alqualondë, and it drove her to join the host of Fingolfin when they pursued Feänor to Beleriand, though she was very young for an elf at the time. The fire of vengeance would not be easily quenched, and her heart was molded by that fire, giving her the fortitude to survive the brutal crossing of the Helcaraxë and much later the fall of Gondolin, though both experiences left deep wounds on her spirit that even time may never heal. The loss of most of her family in Gondolin's destruction was especially difficult for her, and she bears the grief of their deaths to this day. The next 1500 years were relatively peaceful for Eredhrel during the Second Age, and she settled in Lindon along with the remaining Noldorin and lived in relative peace for a time until Sauron forged his master ring and began his war to exterminate the elves. Though Eredhrel fought bravely with all her might, she was unable to save her remaining family from death, except one, her grandaughter. It was at this time she began to regret remaining in Middle Earth and not returning to Valinor when she had the chance at the beginning of the Second Age. She later marched with the great host of elves and men in the Last Alliance, but was gravely wounded on the slopes of Mt. Doom. Though she was borne back to Imladris to recover, her spirit was weighed down heavily by the grief of loss for many centuries after her body had fully healed. It wasn't until late in the Third Age when she was inspired by a hobbit named Bilbo Baggins, whom she met when he along with twelve dwarves sought rest at Rivendell from their journey. After this chance meeting, she was roused from her melancholy and resolved to help defend Middle Earth from the evils of Sauron once again. With spear and blade she roamed the wilds of Eriador and searched out evil wherever it was found to destroy it if possible or at least ward it away from those who could not fight against it.
