Tedrick
| Name | Tedrick |
|---|---|
| Status | Active |
| Occupation | Ruffian |
| Age | Middle aged |
| Race | Man |
|---|---|
| Residence | Bree |
| Kinship | Lotho's Men |
| Outward Appearance | An unfavourable look and pungent smell, but not near as orc-like as some of the southerners prowling around Bree. His eyes are chestnut and his face and hair are darker still. He is short and scrawny of posture and his rough calloused hands end in long bony fingers. Dressed in raiment seemingly not his own, with boots that have seen many winters yet show no signs of wear or tear; they may very well be the only proper clothing on him. A sheathed dagger hides under his cloak. |

Background
A curious southerner came to Bree some years past. During his first months in the town he frequented the inn of the Prancing Pony, spending his days drinking and feasting, seemingly fitting the scene as a good and honest Bree-lander. He called himself Tedrick.
When all of his coin was spent, he started working as a stable boy for a few months. He bought new raiment with the silver pennies he earned. Nothing eye-catching, just some sturdy boots and a heavy cloak.
Tedrick never was the brightest nor the strongest, but he did have a natural skill to remain unnoticed if he wanted to. Though it had kept him out of harm's way in the past, he was yet to find even better use for it, and soon he did.
The people of Bree do not recall when it started exactly, most likely because they only ever suspected it, but eventually Tedrick turned to thievery. A modest thief - it must be said - but a thief nonetheless. His first catch was a shiny dagger, his first victim an unwary traveller. His spider fingers effortlessly burgled the knife from under the traveller's garments.
The event taught him a valuable lesson about his ability to remain unseen. It was a portal to a more adventurous life, something he found both curiously interesting and scary at the same time. Perhaps it was this feeling for more excitement that made him continue his devious ways.
It is for this very reason he has fallen target to the schemes of a wizard far to the south. He has been enticed by the wizard's agents coming up along the Greenway to cause greater mischief among the folk of Bree and to heed the coming and goings of hobbit-folk of the Shire, to whom he takes no liking. His jealousy for their good fortune is what easily convinced him to act as a spy on Sharkey's behalf.
The folk of Bree have seen him talk with shady folk of late. The squint-eyed southerner being one of them. It is this mysterious southerner who has tasked him with finding a halfling named Lotho Sackville-Baggins, living at Bag End in Hobbiton. Much to his dismay, Tedrick is to follow the orders of this hobbit, subsequently making him one of Lotho's Men.
