Lorgorim does not look unlike many other dwarves seen traveling middle earth, although perhaps more serious than most. He has a weathered appearance, his skin looks rough, like after years of labor exposed to the elements. His face is set like stone in a look of general indifference, even distaste. It is rare to see a smile,  reach his ice cold eyes, though anger is a much more common sight. His hair begins to grey and the signs of age begin to show through the rocky surface. He is certainly not a young dwarf, Yet he shows no sign of slowing down. The earthy tones of His clothes, faded and worn, verging on ragged Look like that of a hunter, as does the sturdy bow he carries with him. The cloth that covers his right shoulder has recently been resewn, after what looks like bear claws tore it. Also, a  thin scar runs down the top of his head on the right.

Background

Lorgorim started life as an average dwarf. He was gruff and stubborn, he loved to drink and loved to fight. He was nothing particularly special, and spent his youth in the White Mountains. like most dwarfs, he and his friends became miners, working the gigantic mines under the mountain. However, after a time with little success, the friends became bored and frustrated at their lack of success.

It was this that sparked the the idea to climb the mountain. As everyone burrowed deeper and deeper, it stood to reason there most be something above of value to the dwarves. Twelve close friends, including Lorgorim took part in the climb, yet it was fated to disaster. For by the time they climbed to their goal, two of the dwarves had already died. The deaths were all the more painful as nothing of any value was found from the climb. As the friends made their way back down the mountain, another two died, and one suffered from snow blindness, from which he never recovered. Lorgorim only just survived, despite suffering severe frostbite.

Furious and distraught at their failure and loss, the friends left their blind companion behind, and left the White Mountains, determined to find something else, anything but the failures and losses of their home. The companions headed for the Blue Mountains to start again, but after an severe argument, three of the friends left the group, never to be heard from again. Of the four left, Lorgorim was one of them. As they continued their travels, another fell to a goblin attack Shortly after reaching Ered Luin.

Their travels finally ended, the third friend became a miner, and settled once more into the life he had left. Lorgorim and his final friend found work in the Noglond Waystation as scouts and engineers. It was here that Lorgorim leant to shoot, trap and fight. It was also here that he fell in with a crowd of criminals, smugglers, enforcers and the like. His skills as a hunter and tracker were put to use finding those these men wanted found. This work took him around Ered Luin, and but mostly to Bree Land. It was in Bree he saw an opportunity to make something for himself using his criminal skills, which is where his story begins.
