It is a brotherhood of Dwarves who, under the banner of the Kin, take the fight against the enemy to heart. Me and Gyth, Bawde an' Wulfie got out as far as that Oat's Guruth, past the forsaken inn. A miserable place it is, full o' folk that have no homes. They says that there is shades an' worse a-walkin' about nearby... and there is a great stinking mire.. when the wind blows wrong I can smell it. Faugh! no wonder they all looks so sad. makes me want the open wolds of home, see for miles, green grass and clean clean air. I feels a bit sad for 'em. They aint townfolk, they aint used to livin' all bunched up. Summat must be wrong, for them to run behind the big walls.

Another week has passed and quite a few things happened also, as for our babies.. both are doing really well and it is marvelous to see features of both Lu and myself return in Little Lu and Little Bel. As something unfortunate happened to Lu’s horse named Cwene, I had to buy a new horse for Lu..which I did. Lu seemed delighted when she received the horse, though that is not a surprise to me. She often mentioned riding a horse when she was pregnant, though we could not risk it incase Lu would miscarry, also she is from The Mark and they seem keen on their horses.

Alas the time has come to leave all that i withold dear... Dark tidings from the south urge me to say farewell...for now. When we last gathered in Rivendell, we talked and talked....i knew this was the last time il see my friends and allies for a long time. However I am atlast glad it wont affect the kinship or the alliance. I left the People of Shire in good hands.

How long passed since I left Lindon? Meeting that Elf makes me think about it. His name was Arloth and comes from Rivendell. He is so calm, so polite so peaceful… I think he makes me homesick…
