During their trade expedition to Rohan, the Dwarves of Durin's Folk find themselves in the ruins of Tharbad. They need to cross the river, but they see orcs in the distance. They contemplate fighting them, but Frimsi hopes to find a cheaper option. Thorlaen then notes the the bridge is out, so they will have to find an alternative route anyway. What follows is a grueling, wet night through unforgiving marshes and orc camps.
