A red day..

Our preparations are complete.. a final scouting trip the previous day confirmed what we already knew.. the Goblins were indeed infesting the area to the north, 2 large warrens hidden by the lay of the land and a small wood..

Curugirion mustered the Herth in the early hours at Echad Rhond, our presense discreet as we rode to the warrens.. avoiding all path's and tracks used by the little folk. As the sun rose a red haze was cast.. "a red dawn for a red day"..

The sun broke accross the fields as we broke into the first warren, Aearandir barked orders above the sounds of battle.. holding our formation as the intial ranks of goblins fell on our spears.. those that remained which tried to flee met there end with a swift javelin.

We moved swiftly so as to prevent the other warren from being alarmed.. their numbers thinned quickly.. and it was then that we saw the closing of a hidden door.. Curugirion quickly isssued commands to the Herth we gathered and then made haste to the other warren..

We were fortunate.. the outer guards barely had notice before they met their doom.. the screeching of the slain striking fear in to those that remained.. yet they still came..

As we made our way up the hill a small group tried to flank the Herth.. twas then our tactics and formation truely showed there worth.. our right side rotated and the goblins were swept aside like chaff in the wind..

We climb the hill to the final part of the warren.. tents and foul effergies were burned along the way.. our enemy mustered a final charge, our shields faced them with spears ready.. before the final wave arrived many were struck down by our javelin's before meeting there demise on our spears and under our boots.

We scoured the camp for stragglers before rallying together.. heaping the bodies and idols.. we burned them all...

We left none alive.. ensuring a stark message was left.. for it shall be folly them to be so bold again..
