A Cure for the Common Cold

The main objective when treating one's cold is to relieve the head of an excessive build up of mucus.

A mixture of black beetroot and honey administered through the nose. Or alternatively, a cup of rain-water infused with a selection of assorted rose petals to be applied to the nostrils to alleviate the sneezing.

An infusion of cabbage leaves may also do the trick. Castoreum to induce vomiting and clear out the system is an additional remedy.

Mustard seed, sweetened vinegar, stavesacre, hyssop seeds and honey can be mixed with hot water to create a concoction ingested through the mouth.

Honey will become your newest companion!

The common cold will naturally clear up on it's own, thought it is imperative to stay out of the cold, refrain from consuming alcoholic beverages and wrap up warm.

Continue to drink clean well water to stay hydrated with the aim to flush out the bacteria.

To be gargled, the following recipe:

One dollop of mustard

​​​​​A handful of turnip seeds

A sprinkling of pepper

A handful of nasturtium seeds

A splash of sweetened vinegar

Two dollops of honey

Mixed generously with hot water
