Sage, a white-coated, curly-haired horse, frolics in the deep snow of a northern winter.
Painted digitally from a photo taken by a friend of her horse in her backyard, using Procreate on an iPad. See the full-sized version, the reference image, and this video of me painting it, condensed to 30 seconds (most of which is spent trying different ways to do the snow).
