Songs and poetry : Celegorm to runnaway Luthien

A bard always enriches his songs with other stories he hears. One nigth, in the Hall of Fire,  Naergon heard the story of the anger of Celegorm upon discovering that Luthien escaped with the aid of Huan. The story, that also hit old wounds of Naergon, inspired him to write this lament in verse.

"Of strong descent and noble bind

How you can't see we match in kind,

Both sparks of iron, fire, stone

Why do your eyes so fight my own?

You run to save a fable mite

Already dead by fate outright

You'd fight his war and gladly win

Your own unrest and woe akin

Instead of mighty sword and shield

That fought insult and blockers killed

You give your hand to one too weak

To keep alone the word they speak

What erring curse has cast such gift

To fable flesh who's fall is swift

To cath the glance of shiniest star

And push the boundaries adrift

Forever vanished from my sight

O, blossom sparkling pure and bright

The world in full I'd conquer for

Thin hope that sparkled for one night"
