The Diary of a Widow - First Steps

I haven't seen Styrk in over a week. I am not sure where he's gone, or if he's been killed by that crazy girl and her hounds, she seemed dead set on getting her revenge. I hope he's alright, though, and perhaps he'll find his way back to Bree.

Prim has started walking. She took her first steps about a week ago, and now she refuses to be held. She will kick and scream until you set her down again, but she hasn't quite mastered how to sit back down on her own. It's very amusing to watch, really. She'll stand up and walk around a bit, and then have to hold onto something to lower herself back down.

She doesn't go anywhere without the carving that Folke made her, and the necklace given to her by Styrk. She lost the carving two days ago, and cried and cried for hours until we found it, hidden underneath the blankets in her cradle. Soon I'll have no use for the cradle any longer, as she is getting too big for it. But it's the last thing I have from Drunn, and I can't bring myself to get rid of it.

Prim misses Folke and Styrk both, often pointing to the door and asking "Where?" she'll then lift her shoulders and shrug at me, looking confused. Of course, she doesn't understand, but I like to explain to her that they are off on adventures anyway. I like to think that she understands even a little bit, as I often tell her tales of them both going off on their own and fighting against huge odds while she's falling asleep. I've thought about sending them both letters, but there's probably no good it'll do.
