Arrived at the Old Bridge today. Well the Greenway is certainly not a nice place to be taking a stroll after all... Filled with highwaymen, desperate people preying on the travellers. Heh, not that there are many travellers these days... I've been riding for six days straight, and I've only encountered about a dozen of them... Poor scared people, on the flight to the north. As if there are no problems or threats up there...
I decided it's not wise to cross Rohan after all. Instead, I'll head for Lond Daer Enedh, the so called Great Middle Haven... Beautiful ruins, but ruins nonetheless. If all goes to plan, Jaffar should be waiting with a ship ready to set sail... Towards Dol Amroth. Then towards Pelargir, by land...
I should remember to send a letter to Imrachil, one of my most trusted contacts in Pelargir, while I'm at Dol Amroth... It should be easy for him to rouse the place, spreading the fame that Crow is visiting town. Heck, if he still has the job he had when I last saw him, then he should have no problems to spread the rumour. I'll give it a few days, maybe a week, at most... Then it's time for me to enter the stage and play my role. One that I love impersonating actually... Mordir ''Hawk'', the freelance Bounty Hunter... I will arrive in Pelargir, hunting Crow all the way from Bree. I'm sure that, if not the people, then at least the guard captains still remember old Mordir, the one who rid the south from dozens of criminals. Ah, it's good having your fame precede you, but even better having both infamy and fame to use at your pleasure... Finally, I see fun in the horizon.
...I'm still thinking of Sparrow. I wonder if she's doing alright, if Faustino kept his agreement, and left her alone... Damn, I do miss her a lot after all... No turning back now though. All I can hope for is that Delinor, Matt, and her own skills keep her safe for as long as I'm away. The faster I finish this hunt, the faster I'll be able to see her again. My last challenge...
Well, it's getting dark. Enough writing, time to scout the area around, then get some rest. This sunken city of Tharbad is unsettling...I long to fall asleep, to see her in my dreams again... Bah, I can't believe I've gotten this soft! Love is one thing but... This?
