Oh yeah I guess the leaving was kind of big. It was. I have my reasons, you don't need to worry about them. I might go back if the situation improves. Or maybe I'll just do my own thing. You know how well that's going, though, right? No I guess you don't. I haven't really played for you before. To sum it up, I meet this person in the tavern who is better at dancing, singing and playing and.. probably everything else too. But somehow I didn't end up wanting to strangle her and instead we're going to see what we can do to help each other out. Yep, that was an odd night. Must have been dancing for three hours!
And before you say it, yes, I know that a lot of people in this town are better than me at those three things. So this particular instance wasn't anything new. But it did give me a sort of blunt truth: this town is too saturated in minstrels and bards. You can't throw a rock without hitting someone who is just blankly staring while playing a song. So I was advised, by someone else, that if I want this career move of mine to work out and actually make some money doing it.. I'll probably have to find a new place to do it.
Imagine that, leaving Bree? No I wouldn't actually leave permanently, but it might be an interesting journey to make. Go north maybe? To Trestlebridge? Though I hear it isn't really safe. I could try going further north though, to where the Dwarves live? I was told they might be welcoming enough, though getting them to pay me would be another thing entirely. This obviously needs more research before it can be a real option.
Oh and added the fact that I am not ready for the road in my current state. There's some business yet to be concluded. And I guess I also have to .. you know, get back into routine. Between losing the post job and living in that House for as long as I did, I've gotten lazier.
