Report
Early evening, Officer Cranford and Constable Kuvira were approached by Captain Red. By her orders, they changed into uniform and took the South side of town to Patrol for the Gentleman. The Gentleman, she said, was around somewhere. The Gate Guards put the town on lockdown- no one was allowed to leave for a few short hours.
The two patrol partners set off immediately, while Captain Red went further to the North side of town. The night, rather uneventful, dragged on with keen eyes and alert minds; it was only when the two Watchers approached the Scholar's Balcony that they saw Captain Red talking with a woman. Of whose name was never mentioned.
Suspicious activity, according to the woman, was occurring inside a house just mere paces away. Constable Kuvira was tasked with watching the window that led in, and subsequently out, should whoever was inside decide to take an escape route. Captain Red and Officer Cranford went inside, and were both greeted with a rather... unfortunate sight.
A man, chained to the wall, bound with gags at his eyes and mouth; though he strained against them, as if desperately trying to escape with the entrance of the Watchers. His bindings were soon removed, despite his gruesome screams that would make one's blood run cold. His face, torn of his flesh, left with only the muscle to give any trace that features had once existed. How he was still alive during this was a miricle. The situation, however, was quickly brought under control, with Red addressing the man in the corner while Officer Cranford watched the door (which he tried for escape once or twice, and failed.)
However, Officer Cranford was ordered to take Kuvira once more on a round around town; which was done without question. Upon their return to report their findings, however, they found Red in the corner with the man, who was a rather pitiful sight, but still alive.
Red then recounted what had been said.
The man was The Gentleman's father.
Eckeleus, he had been named. While his son, the Gentleman, was named Sawyer. However, the father assumed that his son would take on his name, as well as his face, in a rather literal sense. For Eckeleus had cut off his own kin's face, and in revenge, the Gentleman had done the same to him. Thus, it also confirmed suspicions that the Victim's faces were somehow used as a disguise for the killer.
The Gentleman's father, Eckeleus, later died of injuries and shock.
