A hard morning

"Why father? Why me..you know I love her and you do know that I intend to marry her..Why? It is not fair!" Milcroft screamed to his father as they stood outside the stable, their trusty steed all saddled and ready to go "My son..you know I can not go, age has caught up to me. Take this note and give it to the Thane when you arrive, I have already sent word to him about your arrival and when it comes to women..you will have all the time in the world to find someone to marry in Elthengels."

((These are some of the words Milcroft and his father spoke to each other on the morning of his depature))

"Am I going to lose her for good? No Mil..you are not, give your note to her father and ride onwards then, tell him that she needs to read it"

The early winter mists layed thick as Milcroft sat up on thier trusty steed, the same steed he had learnt to ride on, thoughts were flying in and out of his mind as the steed walked slowly, in his hands he held the note. The note that would explain to Caithrin why he had to go and that he intended to come back to her. He lead the horse by it reigns up the path leading to the farm where she lived, upon reaching the house he met her father in the door "What do you want then? Here to take my daughter to the hay again hmm..?"  her father said rather harsly as he gave Milcroft a stern look "No sir..I am not. You know I love your daugther above anything else. I have something I need to ask of you..would you pass her this note when she wakes up?" Milcroft replied, the rather harsh looking man snorted something unhearable and took the note and watched as Milcroft rode away, an evil grin then came upon his face "Oh no you little boy, you are not going to get my daugther"  he said to himself and wnet in, the note..well he tossed into the fire.

Unaware of this Milcroft rode on, still thinking of her, hoping she would forgive him for leaving like he did. This were something he thought of alot during the trip to Elthengels. Through the Gravenwood and through the gap of Rohan and over the Isen he rode, until one day he came uponthe town of Elthengels.
