House Morent
Alekith Morent
The first love of Edward Morent gave birth to his first son, a young healthy boy named Alekith. After Edward was caught with whores, the mother left him and her son. Accusing the child to be cursed because of Edward's lust.
It was difficult enough thinking of how to explain why Alekith's mother left the estate. So before grew too old, Edward assigned one of his maids to become the boy's new mother.
Alekith grew tall and smart while his father brought in new brothers and sisters for him. To Alekith, he felt responsible for them, like any big brother should. While the father tried to distribute his time evenly among his children and other affairs, Alekith stepped in as a guide to life for his younger siblings, looking after and caring for them.
This was his common routine and nothing really influenced change to that. Not until he was given a fith sibling.
He wasn't old enough to understand where the kids were coming from but he knew his family was expecting another member, and to Alekith, this made him excited. But the moment
The day Lucifen joined the ranks of the siblings, Alekith immediately noticed a shift of attitude from Edward. His father would no longer choose to spend time with any of his children. Alekith finds him leaving the house more often and not returning for several days.
As the years went by, Alekith turned eleven. He was still the caring brother he always was, but a few of the children seemed isolated from everyone. Especially Lucifen. This bothered him but as long as he could still take somewhat care for them, he was content enough.
He was now old enough to figure out his maiden mother isn't his real one. But seeing how Edward is now a drunk who never spends anytime with his children, he couldn't bear to ask the question of who is his real mother. And unfortunately, after one particular day, he lost all hope of finding out.
Unable to sleep, Alekith sits up straight from his bed. He could feel it. Something isn't right. Getting up, he walks out of his room. His eyes widen as his home caught fire.
The rest of the day would be a day he would never forget, running around the house, avoiding the fire, and trying to reach to all of his family. In the end, he was broken.
Broken by the fact that the only people he managed to get out of the house were himself, and three other siblings.
Taking full responsibility of the others wasn't the hard part, the hard part was that everyday, for the rest of his life, that fire would haunt his life.
Life from that moment was difficult, but Rathel, the second eldest and a survivor, help share the responsibility of taking care of the others.
Aimlessly, they wandered for a long time. Leaving the sight of the burned building and family clear in the distance.A group of a broken leader, a frightened big brother, a shaken sister, and a confused young kid, unaware of the whole situation.
Hunting and gathering for supplies we're the least of their problems. After a week of brutal survival, the sister, Resaya, wasn't accounted for. For days, they searched. Desperate to try and find her. Alekith wouldn't rest. His mind was still being haunted by the fire, and as the big brother, it was his responsibility to protect the younger.
After a hard long search, they were forced to move on. Now the nightmare of the fire and the lost sister haunt his mind. Although they created a hard distraction for him, he still tried to uptake his responsibilities for the others.
In reality, Rathel actually found what remained of Resaya. He stumbled upon a cave one day while searching for her. It contained remnants of a camp and in the corner lied the corpse of Resaya, her clothing torn all apart as bruises were visible all over her body. Rathel was young at the time, but even then it was clear from all the evidence. She was picked up by some bad men, who ended up using her. The sight of her sister lying dead in the corner was one he would never forget, and one he choose to bear on his own.
Weeks passed and eventually months. After a brutal three months, they finally reached the safe borders of Rohan. They met a man there who felt sympathy for the three traveling brothers.
After the man took them in as his own, they moved from Rohan to Gondor, where the man lived. The three finally had a home to stay and grow up in, even a fatherly figure to look after them. But the nightmares still haunted them.
