Entry Two: First Encounter
So it has truly begun. One arrived at the Dawnhall to be surrounded with unfamiliar faces. Though this was to be expected, as this is after all business of the Dawn and not of his own. Few one recognized from previous encounters though none he trusted. Fiontann seemed to share an intimate moment with another. One is pleased if his brother has found comfort and happiness in another since the split with Nellye.
Moments later, one felt that of another leaning on his own shoulder. Teleyn, the innocent young woman who one befriended whilst part of the Dawn. One was pleased to see a familiar face and was unaware she would accompany us... It was then, that those one would recognize showed. Dataak and Taala. It was time to venture forth.
Most said their goodbyes to those who would not accompany us. Though one would remain silent, knowing that some of the company may not return. The company would proceed on horseback, taking us from Towerglan and proceeding along the bank of the Midgewater Marshes. One could hear the usual chatter amongst the company. Though he would not agree with such, they seeked comfort in their words. Laughing and bonding as a unit.
There was another who trailed behind the group that one shared brief words with. A hooded fellow named Vendrith, who seeked peace within solitude also. One could relate to this man quite easily, which could lead to gaining another’s trust. Though one shall not trust so easily, after what has happened in his past...
The Company made it through the Lone Lands with no trouble, which one is truly thankful for. If the wrong set of eyes saw him, the guard would surely want justice for the wrong cause. But trouble lingered just beyond the borders, entering the Trollshaws. A company of Orcs would take us by suprise, thundering down the hill and from behind the rocks. Our company would stand tall, slaying many of the Orcs. One would charge forward into the fray, shortly followed by Dataak. Once the remaining Orcs fled, one shared brief words of the past with Dataak as the others retrieved there arrows and proceeded.
The Company made their first stop a little into the Trollshaws. Some chose to bathe, to rid the stench of Orc blood from them. Others took watch, which is when Deorgast finally arrived and joined the Company. One took solitude though, remaining by Illith’s side and within his own thoughts. This is what led him back to you. One must leave you now and continue to keep his eyes peeled for any sign of danger. We know the Trollshaws far too well to let our guard down...
