Taala had reflected, analyzed and held herself culpable for the predicament that she was in, but it was time to focus and escape.
She scanned the room again. They had provided a bucket, hay to sleep on and she still had the blanket. The door was solid, Magpie who had stood guard in the other room had thrown some bread through a small opening that had been cut into the top of the door, and then he had left the cabin for a time.
A plan formed, she had to be quick she did not know how long he'd be gone. First she went to the corner of the room to the right of the door and placed the blanket down and stamped upon the floor as hard as she could until one of the boards split in two. She pulled the next two floor boards up and lay upon her stomach groping about under the floor until she found a number of stones a little bigger than an egg. She scooped some of the dirt out and piled it upon the floor to dry out thoroughly, it may serve as a distraction if thrown into someone's eyes.
Taala pulled up more of the floor, she lay each plank atop the bucket and cracked each one, almost in half by bringing her foot down hard upon it, using the blanket to protect her bare foot. Next she headed to the door and broke one of the floorboards and pulled up some of the flooring directly in front of the door and replaced it with the weakened floorboards and did not nail any of them down. At first glance the floor looked intact, but likely to give way if a man was to walk upon it, but not such a large area that she could not jump over it.
She knocked some of the nails out of the floorboards using the largest of the stones that she had found and hammered most of them into the edge of one of the broken floor boards, making herself a crude but barbaric looking weapon. She split another board up until it was pointed at one end, her poor hands littered with splinters that had found their way even through the blanket she'd used to protect her.
She hammered two nails into a smaller piece of flooring and used it to tear a strip of blanket off, now she had the means to strangle someone. She cut part of the blanket into a ragged square and placed one of the larger stones into it. She pulled some of her hair from her head and plaited it to resemble twine and tied the piece of blanket around the stone like a pouch, now she had another weapon.
Taala scooped more dirt from beneath the floor, this time digging deep enough to find the muddier soil. She smeared it onto, the wall facing the door, making a likeness to the banner flown in Eaworth in an attempt to catch their attention should they open the door, so they would hopefully not look down at the weakened floor by the door.
A single nail, might serve as a lock pick...or worse it could take an eye out...
Finally, she made every attempt to cover her tracks by putting the room back as it was. She sat beside the door, with what was left of the blanket wrapped around her naked body and the makeshift weapons that she had made concealed beneath.
"Right you bastards, I'm ready for you!". Her mind was calm, her heart was cold, now to play the waiting game...
