Event details:
The Coarse Season starts on June 15th and we are celebrating with a Start of Season fishing competition on the banks of the Brandywine, in beautiful Buckland. Join us and try your hand at coarse fishing. As usual, a host of prizes, in two classes:
- Experienced anglers (100+FP)
- Novices (under 100)
Species prize: for the greatest diversity of fish caught
Edible prize: for the largest number of edible fish caught
Tight lines prize: for the biggest overall catch
And, as usual our Weedy prize for the most weeds dredged out of the river!
No need to register! Just turn up on the day and make yourself known to Penina. She'll be in the party tent at Buckland Faire. All the usual fun / refreshments / music in addition to the actual fishing of course!
This is a Shire Angling Club, hobbit-led RP event. Being out of bounds, we might expect to see the odd man or woman poking around in addition to hobbits and the odd traveling dwarf. Better still, why not roll a hobbit for the full hobbit-RP experience? Much more fun!
