~The Reveler's Faire~

Introduction

Good day, and good night to you, readers and friends all! I am Impacalyn, and I welcome you to our kinship of entertainers and performers dedicated to bringing color and mirth to Middle Earth!

This kin is a gathering of musicians, magicians, beast tamers, acrobats, story tellers, and actors alike! We are starting out and hopefully will become large and grand, giving crowds and towns galore, performances of music, feats of daring, or just a small act for the gig at the tavern!

You will find many of us in uniform or in costume when it comes time to perform or off duty, but never the less, we are always ready to put on a show for you! Come and dream with us, as you enter the Faire.

~Rules~

There are a few rules that must be adressed and enforced, before any performing. Just because we have fun, does not mean it should interrupt others or demean anything. The point is fun, there will be exceptions, there will be circumstance, but it will be case to case..

Rule 1: There will be NO stealing, killing maiming, or intentionally hurting kinmembers, or patrons unless designated especially by the Ringmaster himself. NO EXCEPTIONS. Reason why, is because the Assassins of the Sect are governed to serve and protect you, but you are not to assault anyone without reason or provocation.

Rule 2: Keep with communication. If you are doing solo acts anywhere, you must at least tell someone icly, this also applies to small groups. If there are no protectors to know where you are in case of an incident, it would pose a great harm to the kin and its members.

Rule 3: Respect the ruling and authority the Masters of the Sect have. They govern the Sect for a reason and the Ringmaster will not tolerate disrespect or insubordination because someone did not like their ruling.. This rule however, can be bent if a Master is being unfair.. and ONLY with consent of the Ringmaster or another Master.

Rule 4: Be respectful towards the audience and others. This sits as the bottom rule, because this is self explanatory. There will be times you will see the ringmaster disrespecting someone (to a degree), this is because it is his character. Now, there are exceptions to this rule, HOWEVER, that does not entitle to plain and blunt shows of aggravation and antagonizing.

~Hierarchy~

Here in the Faire, you will find a plethora of jobs, and structured entertainment. The order of command, otherwise known as the Sects, which are then broken down into jobs.

Jobs are oversaw and managed by the Masters of the Sect you are apart of. It is important to note, should you break the rules, you must speak to them, or else there will be trouble afoot. Apart from that, there are many to choose from, simply read more info.

The Circle of Jests: This Sect is comprised of the Fools Following, Lead by the Ringmaster, Impacalyn, (or Atawol when Imp is not around.) and makes up both the Jesters, a sort of protectorate trained in deceptive combat. Just because we entertain, does not mean we do not defend ourselves, and these comedians are more than happy to enforce their punchlines.

This Sect is mainly reserved for those wishing jobs as Acrobats, Jesters, and Assassins which are trained in special forms of combat in order to protect and serve the interests of the kin and its members.

The Circle of Sorcery: This Sect is primarily reserved for the Beast Tamers, and Magicians, best suited for such acts of magic. Performances down through the use of animal companions, dazzling magic or more, you are sure to find the best within this Sect as well as Workhands, who help care for the beasts and serve the circle's interests.

Magicians and Beast Tamers will find a home within the Sect, as well as Workhands to aid in their magical feats which may sometimes call for a volunteer!

The Circle of Revelry: What is the Faire without its first name? This Sect brings the blood and burning heart of the Faire out with astounding fireworks, explosions, and general foolishness. Or, why not add some delightful drinks, compliments by the master brewers of the Sect, giving you food and drink in abundance for the show!

This sect is for the more fiery tempered spirits of the Reveler's Faire, and comprises the Flamespeakers, Igniters, and Brewmasters. If you need to add some zing to your party, these are the fellows to do it!

~Jobs~

Now for the nitty-gritty about jobs and what each entails, and what work will be done. Some jobs are made for certain characters while others are general purpose. This is to give a balance of specialized and general roleplayers a chance for all around success.

Acrobat:

This role is best suited for agile players who feel it better to reach great heights with their performances, seeking to wow the crowd with acts of flexibility and stamina. They resign in the Circle of Jests, assisting shows with their prowess. When they are not performing, they are usually found training with nimble fingers on the side as lockpicks or more stealthy pickpockets. Helping both to entertain and to prevent unnecessary situations and locked doors, the Acrobat is the one to call on.

Jester:

A comedian of a different flavor, they form somewhat of the ringmaster's taskforce, offering acrobatic skill mixed with the ringmaster's own training in juggling and deceptive movements. Beyond that, they are entertainers, keeping the crowd enthralled as they spread joy in the form of tricks. Juggling, jokes, dancing and more, Jesters pride themselves by utilizing acrobatic practice into their coordination, allowing for the flow of fun and fight to mix. If you need a hand to entertain or to stab, its a Jesters!

Assassins:

These fellows are not exactly as their name suggests. While they are summarily trained by the ringmaster in both jesting and daggers, they are not for fighting...primarily. They actually serve as the protectorates within the Faire, and serve as the watchmen over the show as well as participate. However, there are some rare instances when a show is all you need to dispatch someone in a crowd.. and these comics are enough to relieve clients at the ringmaster's words.

Beast Tamers:

For those among the world that have found animals in better company than most people, it would be easy for their friends to perform. Here in the Faire, the Beast Tamer puts on displays of animal showmanship and deft ability. Of course, being as only lore masters may tame such creatures of nature, Beast Tamers have a knack of adding their magic into the fray of shows!
