Daellas is the second son of Argath, though at young age Daellas knew he was not his most favorite son. Argath his first born Eorath always had most attention and got the better training. Argath was a well known rider of Snowbourne at his time and was often away for long periods of time. Daellas never had the chance to get to know his father well as he died together with his eldest son when he was young. Still, Daellas believes his father expects he is responsible to continue his bloodline and restore the glory of his legacy. He also believes his father still judges him from the halls where he now resides, and that he needs to justify his decisions towards him.

Daellas rode to the green fields that lie north of Bree, riding at night beneath a sky full of stars. He turned his horse to a hill and stopped, he whispered to the darkness. "Father... there are things you need to know. I have failed you father, but I promise you, I have not given up". "Bema is with me, he will lead us there. Trust me father, when our time ends, my brother and I will stand before you as proud and honorable men as you were".
Daellas holds something in his hands, as he opens his hand a ring lies on its palm. It a silver ring decorated with a silver flower, Simbelmyne. His mother gave it to him not long before she died. This ring amongst others was passed for generations in his family. The ring has been often used as wedding ring or by some wielders as a piece of jewelry for festivities. His mother always said the ring symbolizes life, and offers protection to those who wear it. Ironically the flower itself is known to grow in abundance on burial mounts. The ring is old, but it does not look it. Where and when it was forged is not clear, though it was said it should be somewhere during the reign of Helm Hammerhand.
"There is one more thing father, I have found a woman that will bring honor to our bloodline. A strong and passionate woman from the mark who has been loyal to me through many dangers. I love her. I believe she will prove herself to be loving and loyal wife that in time will bear healthy and strong children. " Daellas closes his hand around the ring again. "Father, I have made my choice."
