Sweet Pie
Now it’s time for supper
Belly rumbling loud
Some want pork with crackling and some mushrooms
A dish which would make me ma proud
But still there is something else
The food, I want tonight
And all the hobbits join this song with joy
Come here, enjoy a bite
Sweet pie! Whoa!
Sweet pie! Oh-oh-a!
Sweet pie!
They say hobbit ways are simple
But nay, that’s not true
Just look at the care and effort
In the pies we made fer you
We have pies with fluffy mash, woha
With bacon and cheese, and extra bacon too
With cherries, and wild berries, and Shire apples
Pour the custard, and let’s chew
Sweet pie! Whoa!
Sweet pie! Oh-oh-a!
Sweet pie
Now hobbits, let’s sing this song together
And all yer dwarves and longshanks here, come join in too
The simple joys of supper
Makes the grey clouds pass, the sky turn all blue
And know that even ashen burned-out homesteads
Can be home to life tonight
Come and let us share these pies, and turn the
dusk to bright light
So let us make this pledge tonight
That we will share this meal together
No matter what yer have to fight
A slice of pie will make things better
Sweet pie! Whoa!
Sweet pie! Whoa-oh-oh!
Sweet pie!
Sweet pie! Whoa!
Sweet pie! Whoa-oh-oh!
Sweet pie!
