A Fitting Tribute !

fitting tribute in the Shire together with a great audience  combined for an evening of perfectly performed music  to remember  the writers of the tales, poems and songs we treasure. A concert by The Brandy Badgers with a selection of tunes related to one of the finest writers we have seen, master Ronald Dwale.

An unexpected storm in the Shire almost forced the postponement of the concert. Thankfully the weather did clear  just before the scheduled time and hobbits and friends were able to make their way to Hobbiton. A full house at The Ivy Bush were treated to a double bill of great music by The Brandy Badgers followed by more tunes by the many bards present last night - A tribute to the many 'writers of tales' of Middle-earth .

The Band opened the evening with a delightful set of songs and tunes,  transporting the audience in a world of great tales and adventures. We were then treated to a feast of stunning musicianship from The Brandy Badgers. The main performance was followed by a number of 'guest' performances from  some of the musicians present in the audience.

Somewhere between the green rolling hills of the Shire and great forests and mountains of Middle-earth the music intoned tales  of great adventures in clarity and gentleness,  yet still with a traditional 'hobbity' twist.  This was a great concert which  is receiving a 5 stars review from  the musical editors of the Laurelin Archives.

A big 'Thank You!" to Miss Lina Willowwood and The Brandy Badgers for a fitting musical tribute , and thank you to all the 'guest' performers for a string of delightful tunes to conclude the evening. A special  mention to Miss Whiteberry which has provided us with some lovely moving pictures of the evening.
