The Wildermore Giant - Scylfig, Scarred

Signs of battle marred the gates of Scylfig. Shattered timbers and dead orcs preceded a series of huge ice shards stabbed into the ground along the way to the mead hall. Those residents who had not perished defending the village were wailing for the dead or scurrying about rescuing survivors from the rubble. To avoid adding to the resident’s fear and loathing, I left Rhiwnag outside the settlement and commanded him to scout the town’s outer perimeter. As I made my way up to the mead hall, I assisted the villagers as best I could, tending to their wounds and digging out the trapped. According to them, the assault was, as you might have suspected, from a stone giant empowered and enraged by some frigid relic fused with his body.

Núrzum, as the giant named himself, was not attempting to lay waste the village, but was instead striking at those who govern there, and at the local heroes that fight beside them; he came to conquer. I was unaware of any such ambitions amongst giants.
