Daphne

When they arrived, they'd found the Company vanguard standing amdist piles of dead goblins. Well, most were standing. Altheric had apparently been wounded, along with one or two others. But there were no deaths, which she figured was a lucky thing with so many goblins. A few conversed over the events of the fight, giving Furley details of what went on.

Daphne had no idea why Furley was pulling her out of formation with the rest of the Company.

Though not much which anyone else would note had happened, the past couple of weeks had been unusual for Daphne.
The Waymeet Market seemed to have gone fairly well, despite the appearance of a couple shady characters, and her load had been decently light for the weeks past.

Daphne had rushed to dress herself and run a brush through her hair before knocking and stepping over to where Anastasiar was trying to get into the wedding dress, without letting it touch the floor.

The morning after the tournament, Daphne slept in until noon. All of the recent events, on top of her recent illness, had drained much more of her energy than she'd realized. When she sat up, every part of her groaned in protest. "Oh, right. I forgot to stretch after the tournament," was her first thought.

"Touch me Commander and I'll send you to the other side to check if she's there yourself," Furley had growled out, without even turning away. "YES OR NO, DID YOU SEE HER DIE? Answer me!!" He'd shouted.
