If you meet Aeghadan in the lands of men, dwarves or hobbits, he may not seem more than a common man, tall and strong. That's probably because he always wears a ragged green and blue tunic and a hooded green cloak to cover his face and his hair. He walks in such a silent way that you would never notice him if he was approaching from behind until he touched your shoulder. It would seem to you a strange man, travelling all alone with no more company than himself and his face hidden beneath his tattered large cloak. You would think of him an outlaw or a robber, or maybe one of these strange wanderers who name themselves "rangers", but he is none of that.

He is an elf, and he has a special gift for going unnoticed.

If you meet Aeghadan in the lands of elves though, you would say he is an elf-prince without any doubt. When he is in Rivendell or in the other places where elves dwell he wears a bright green hauberk with his sword's scabbard hanging in his back with his bow and his quiver. He wears a pair of wolf-skin boots, and a hoodless cloak made of the same animal. He is handsom and comely, with grey-green eyes and sharp cheek-bones, coal-black hair and pointed ears, as every elf. If he was wearing these clothes you could see that he's broad of shoulders and chest, and much taller than many elves. That's because he was born to be a soldier and a soldier he is. Always travelling, always walking, always watching.
