Naurdam is a veteran of conflict stretching back many centuries. From the peaks of the Misty Mountains to the shores of Belegaer Naurdam has faced his enemies and walked away victorious. Over the centuries he has strived to perfect his skill in battle, to almost an obsessive degree, and has actively sought out the enemies of the Free Peoples of Middle Earth. His actions are sometimes thought to be unsophisticated and brutal and that he appears to give into the emotions of hatred and rage, a trait commonly found in mortal Man rather than the Firstborn. No records of Naurdam’s place of birth exist or the reason why he would focus on the path of the warrior to the exclusion of all else. Those that have seen him say he appears in the midst of battle and leaves as mysteriously as he came. There are rumours that say he was one of the kindred of Gondolin and a member of the House of the Hammer of Wrath and was present at the at the Fall of Gondolin, the defeat of Sauron by the Last Alliance and that he only appears at times of great conflict, but there are also others who say that this fabled warrior is nothing but a myth conjured up from old stories and songs.
