Hailing from a commoner's family in Gondor, and a hereditary line of soldiers. Altus had already trained in the use of Sword and Shield since his early-teens, he enlisted in the Army, and there he met his long time friend and captain, Ehlrandir. Together they fought several skirmishes, earning renown and trust. Before long Altus' brief service to the Steward came to an end, he left for the Northern Kingdoms, taking up residence in Rentry, a small village outside Bree-Town. There he joined the ranks of The Rangers, seeking to unite and defend the Free Folk of Middle-Earth (rather than the significantly smaller borders of Gondor.) It was during this time, he met Cerwyn, who would become like a sister to him, they swore their shield's to one another. This chance meeting saved both their lives ... ((to be completed later)) Under the command of Vingilotz Aermir and his respective leiutenants, Altus guards the free-people of Middle-Earth from the forces of Angmar, Orthanc, Minas Morgul and any other darkness they may seek to hinder freedom. Last summer, Altus' close friend Cerwyn was found murdered at her home in Celon-i-Thynd, near Falathlorn. Her neck was cut, and her body pierced twice by arrows. Her son Echuir was missing. This news shocked Altus to his very core, now unsure of much of his life in the north, his grieving made him feel complacent, and thus he left for Gondor, seeking to escape his grief by pledging himself as a mercenary to the garrison at Osgiliath. Six months later, Altus returned, for the most part, a much colder and less tolerant man.
