Born from the Deffins in Deffinhill, Aevo spend his childhood always doing something with his hands. It thus that during his teenage years, he spend working for a dwarven merchant, which took him sometimes even outside of the Shire, (specifically the Blue Mountains). Much to the chagerin of other Deffinses who thought he was becoming a Took. 

The dwarven merchant tought him quick tricks of combat and including how to handle daggers. Aevo was able to test his mettle a bit when fighting during the Scouring of the Shire, during which he also got his cousins dog, Graefferic, who is a bit of a roamer. His cousin gained Graefferic in Bree one day from a travelling merchant. Further information is unknown. 

Eventually Aevo noticed an advertisement from a company called The East Road Company. Interested, Aevo decided to sign up.
