Melfara is an intelligent, selfless, compassionate, and loving 20 year old. She will respond to being called Mel, but only her friends will not get her sword through their bodies when called Mel.

   Her favorite color is a deep royal blue, she loves boar meat, and her preference is fighting with dual weapons; but if possible she will use the bow gifted to her by Cillawen, an elf she is staying with as she searches for the identity of the Highroller, to catch her enemies by surprise. When in combat, she is a formidable opponent, however, Melfara tends to charge in without a strategy. Not to mention her two phobias: Proditiophobia(Fear of Being Betrayed) & Kakorrhaphiophobia(Fear of Failure).

   Melfara grew up happily in the peaceful town of Dale at the base of the Dwarven Kingdom of Erebor. She never met her birth father but was raised by her mother and step-father, who treated her as if she was his own biological daughter. She was deeply loved by the dwarves of Erebor, as shown by the trinkets they would give her.

   When she became a full guards woman of Dale, she got a tattoo on her upper left arm which portrays a dragon being pierced by an arrow, in the hopes that the spirit of Bard the Bowman would give her the same courage he used when he killed Smaug to protect Dale and their neighbor, Esgaroth. And as a parting gift, before she left for Bree, the dwarves of Erebor gave her a stunning white gold ring. It was shaped as two hands holding a topaz, cut into the shape of a heart, with a crown on top. But the part that made it extra special were the Dwarvish runes on the band of the ring, even if she didn't know what they said quite yet.
