One could say, she is quiet unusual for a hobbit. Despite the fact, that she was 'normally' raised by her parents in Bree to be a average hobbit, it never really stuck with her. She grew up as a middle child of eight.

As soon as her tweens started, she began to learn to play instruments and to explore Bree more often. Which is indeed pretty uncommon, even for Bree hobbits. Soon she was the odd child in the family and her parents thought she would be in and would bring nothing but trouble. It's not that she didn't try to act according to her parents wishes, it just never was her way. Eli was never really able to force herself to fit in all the time. So in the later half of her tweens, she decided to learn a profession on her own.

Trading to be exact. It wasn't hard for her to convince a trader to take her in as a helping hand. She at least had the reputation in Bree to be hard working and crafty. At this point her parents gave up on her ever being an average hobbit and let her go her own way. In the neighborhood she is still a very frequent topic, but with the years it calmed itself down pretty fast. She began to work as a traveling merchant, ones her maester told her, that there is nothing he could teach her anymore. So she bought some supplies in Bree and traveled to the Shire to sell her good. That is how she started to work in her current profession.

Beside all of that she learned to play the lute and the harp from her grandmother, who was really happy that someone from the family showed some interest to learn traditional songs of the family and Bree at last.

This is her little story. Everything else will happen, when it happens.
