Zollea often says that she was born to be a paradox.

Her father was a corsair and her mother was a Haradrim woman that escaped a dreadful life and fled to a small farming village in Gondor. Zollea doesn't know much about her culture or heritage, her mother was always very nervous about teaching any of it to her. She's lighter skinned than what one expects of Haradrim, so Zollea found it easier to blend in with the other villagers, though her mother was often looked down upon.

She had a relatively quiet and peaceful childhood. She didn't know her father very well, he came and went with the current and he wasn't on land very often. Her mother remarried a rich lord, though Zollea's father remained her corsair lover, and the only man that she truly ever loved. Zollea didn't get along with her mother's new husband, though, and she was kicked out of their home when she was young.

At first, Zollea searched ports and other places for her father. She received word that her mother had been brutally murdered within her home, and Zollea never returned back to that small farming village. She has heard, though, that the rich lord got a new and younger wife and Zollea expects he had something to do with her mother's sudden and tragic death. She's sworn revenge on him, but she still hasn't carried it out.

She finally found her father soon after, and she joined him on his ship. She learned to be a dancer, and she spent most of her time entertaining the crew. However, Zollea soon grew tired of being a seafarer, and she decided to stay on land after a few years. She left Gondor after that, having nothing left for her there aside from revenge, which she didn't want to be consumed by.
