Getting on a bit, Billy Hissop wears his curly grey hair with pride, although it is often covered by his hat of many uses. His wife, since his joining of the Watch, has become famed among their ranks through her gift of cooking and baking.

His duties as a Watcher are often more concerned with neighborly disputes, the mending of boundaries and the chasing of livestock, though he can often be found on watch about the town. He is known among Hobbits as Billy and is highly regarded among Bree Hobbits for his helpfulness and skill in countryside crafts.
