Outward Appearance | Carniquessë is a tall, well built noldorin elleth with coppery hair and black eyes. Her hair is almost always worn in a braid tied by a red feather, her expression is often stern and serious, and is not a talkative person, although occasionally she may smile or grin when taken by a bout of sarcasm. She favours leather armour when out in the wild, and despite spending much time outdoors her clothes are well cared for and of quality making. She carries with her a wing shaped longbow and a pair of curved daggers. |

Background
Born in Dorthonion, the land of the pine trees in Beleriand under the rule of Lords Angrod and Aegnor. Carniquessë's early years were spent learning the arts of scouting and hunting by her parents, living a relatively easeful life in the northern reaches of the region.
As the years passed by Carniquesse heard news of the flourishing of Nargothrond; she then decided to take leave from her family and the pine trees of her youth and joined a messenger party directed there, to pledge her service to Lord Finrod Felagund and start a new chapter of her life.
At the time of her departure, her father gifted her a formidable longbow, shaped as two wings which she called Rámaquinga, and from her mother a pair of curved daggers, Aicanga and Lassemaica. She could not have known, but that was the last time she saw her parents, for they died fighting in Dagor Bragollach, the year 455 F.A.
Carniquesse joined the scouts of Talath Dirnen, the Guarded Plain between the rivers Narog and Sirion, and there she stayed, hunting the enemies of her people with bow and daggers.
Sadly, that too was not destined to be forever, as Glaurung and his hordes, in F.A. 495 descended upon the realm, bringing destruction upon its plain and city. Carniquesse managed to escape with some others from Talath Dirnen before it was too late, and after some time wandering reached the mouths of Sirion.
After Beleriand fell, she didn't settle permanently in one place at first, instead traveling as a messenger between elven settlements in Eriador and Rhovanion. After the fall of Eregion, she moved to Lothlorien, taking up her scouting again in service of Lady Galadriel, guarding the borders with the Marchwardens where she was given the surname "Linfilen" (Sindarin for "swift arrow"). Carniquesse served Lorien until some time in the Third Age, when she left the Golden Wood and finally settled in Imladris, feeling she could be more of help to her kindred by watching over the roads in and out the vale. There she resides nowadays, and will be until she will hear her Call to the West.
