Penvro Diggle grew up in Small Delving where it bordered with Rushock Bog. His family has been farming that area since the folk arrived in the Shire. Penvro took to farming like a duck to water and soon was a master at growing just about everything you could grow. It was during this time that he founded a little know organisation the Shire Leaf Growers Association. It was during this time he became engrossed in cooking. But it was also during this time he noticed a change in the Shire. Stepping down as Chief of the Shire Leaf Growers Association when the call of adventuring became too loud to ignore he handed the reigns to his cousin Kynwal Greenhand.

For a time Penvro floating between affiliations before settling down with The Crimson Brotherhood in Bree.

Penvro has left the brotherhood and returned to his beloved Shire. He has a worrying senses for the Shire as if a dark cloud hangs over the once peaceful place. It was while traveling back to the Shire that fate would intervene and present Penvro with a chance encounter. Penvro had taken the southern road and came upon a dwarf at an abandoned camp surround by wolves. Penvro jumped into action without a thought and needless to say both survived the encounter. The dwarf named Kilbir was on his way back to Gondamon in search of employment. It was at this point Penvro had the idea to start his very own adventures guild. With the help of Kilbir the Dented Shield Adventures Guild was born.
