Overall Appearance <<

Towns is a well-built young man, his body kept in good shape with work and exercise. He bears no blemishes upon his skin, though he is lightly tanned, perhaps from all the patrolling in the sun required of him with his occupation. Often, his lips are brandishing a clever smirk, hardly a negative expression crossing his face. Even while on the job, Towns will be smiling, looking sort of excited about something, and would stop to talk to you if he walks by (and you talk back of course).

Clothing Appearance <<

Generally, Towns wears different shades of brown, complementing the leather, steel, and furs he often wears. If not his uniform, he wears a short duster, another clothing item inlaid with leather, furs, and steel studs. He wears heavy boots where ever he travels, and overall, his clothing is heavy, thick, and layered, no matter if the sun is blazing Middle-Earth, or the skies are pouring forth rain.

Appearance Staples <<

Towns, with every outfit he dons, has a few staple items he wears without fail.

First, there is his cattle-wrangler's cap. This is a rough leather hat he never seems to take off, dark brown with a 9-strand braid wrapping around it.

Next, there is his heavy scarf. This is a combination of varied fabrics, though the square-like pattern on each of the pieces remains as a theme. This scarf is brown, white, purple, and gold, with a set of tassels leading over his shoulder as a fancy flourish, and golden brooches on the other shoulder to keep the scarf in place.

Third, and lastly, Towns wears a pack of javelins and spears on his back. In public, on the countryside, inside buildings, he wears this pack as if expecting to jump into a battle at any moment. The pack bears his combat academy training badge near the slots for the javelins, and he wears this proudly.

Background

>> Home Life

Growing up as a cattle rancher, Towns worked on his family's farm until he was old enough to make a life for himself. For most of the years he lived on that farm, there was often trouble with bandits, loss of livestock, and wild animal attacks. It was this that taught him the art of battle, and his father taught him well. Trained with a spear and throwing javelin when he was old enough to hold one, Towns has been developing his skill with these weapons for most of his life.

When he grew old enough to become independent, Towns made it his job to defend his family's farm. With this as his motivation, his skills in battle became sharpened like a fine-edge spearhead. His ambition led him to being noticed within Bree-town, which led to him to traveling to the city more often to help others with the problems they might have. The more and more he helped people, the more he became known. This is when he was then noticed by the Bree-town Watch.

>> City Life

Hired by the Watch once his reputation of lawfulness and helpfulness was made known, Towns' ambition didn't end there. He became dedicated to his work, leaving the job of protecting his family's farm to his brother Rodereck, just a few years younger than him, and his little sister Melonee.

Towns made his way around the city often, in his job and his desire to visit with the people of the city he cared about deeply. Protecting Bree-town became his mission, and made it his priority to do it well. He never slumped out of a day of work, and he did what he was told. He wasn't perfect, but he tried his 'gosh-dern best'.

>> Leaving Bree

Once Towns was not around the farm as often as he was when growing up, the crime on the Townsend cattle ranch became a bit harder to deal with. This had something to do with the fact that Towns left his family to join the Watch, and it had immediate adverse effects on the farm's safety. Rodereck, Towns' brother, took up his sword to protect the farm, but even then, he had to grow up too. He left the farm with his sister Melonee to start his own business, and started a crops farm for corn, carrots, and other various vegetables.

One autumn, Towns' parents decided their farm was in far too much danger. They consulted with Towns, and he agreed to escort them to Kingsfell, in the North Downs, to raise their cattle there instead, near the ruins holding the Rangers of Esteldin. Towns put in a notice of leave with the Watch, and he indeed left, helping his family and their farmhands to get from Bree-land to Kingsfell.

>> Returning To Bree

Of course, Towns didn't promise to stay with his family forever. Once they reestablished their farmland and sorted out the cattle, Towns prepared himself to leave. His parents begged him to stay, but he couldn't. He was far too dedicated to Bree-town to stay away for very long.

He then made his trek back to Bree, with his horse, the clothes on his back, his weapons, and very limited supplies. He joyfully made his way back to the town he once protected, and was very immediately given his job back. It is now that he strives to again protect the city he would most definitely die for, under the employ of Rhyva Redwood and her folk.
