Erintal grew up in South Gondor with her mother Velasa, father Raasala and her brother Ergvel who is 5 years old then her. they are a rather poor family her father is a blacksmiths assistant and her brother is a soldier for Gondor.

when she was young Erintal would play fight with the boys in her village and in time learnt the basics of how to fight her brother taught her more when she was 15 so that she could defend herself if need. she would also watch her father at work some times and became quite interested in blacksmithing till her mother found out that she was thinking about becoming a blacksmith herself when she was old enough.

At the age of 18 she left home in the hope of using her small skill in fighting to become a mercenary and earn some money.
