| Outward Appearance |
Height: Anachlyx is rather short, standing at a mere 4 ft., 11 in. Build: She is slight of frame, and she often shrinks into herself, appearing even more insufficient. Eye Colour: Her eyes are clouded over, possessing a milky-white hue. Hair Length/Colour: Anachlyx has allowed her long silver locks to maintain a disheveled appearance, unkempt and untended. Distinguishing Marks, etc: Aside from her blindness, Anachlyx bears crudely depicted images of a snake with a severed head burned painfully into the flesh beneath her eyes and upon the palms of her hands. Appearance: Anachlyx is a young girl in her twenty-first year. Looking on her, one mighty pity her to see that she is blind. Another thing that might add to their sympathy is how anxious she seems. Always she is drawing into herself, and as she is already of small height, it does little but make her look even more pathetic. Her voice is thick with a northern accent, and her words are slow to form. Her face, though fair, is trapped in an expression of anguish, and her sharp features rarely soften. Her silver hair, which can be viewed when she pushes back her darkly hood, is untouched by a comb. Below her unseeing eyes, there are branded into her pale skin poor representations of a serpent with no head. Similar renderings may be found on her hands, on the occasions that she removes her gloves. Behaviour: She is a very timid individual, having been a recluse even from birth. Smiles are rare and hard to earn, as are laughs. She stutters, and often trails off in her speech. She is fearful of most men, having been hunted by those of the Karhu-heimo tribe, and is unable to hide her discomfort in their presence. However, despite all of this being a result of her misfortune, she decides to thank her god for what little good she may find. Many would label her a zealot for this, ever faithful and devoted. Quirks/Eccentricities: Anachlyx is known to stutter, and to allow her words to fade away into silence. This makes it difficult to understand her in addition to her thick northern lilt, and her struggles to master the Common Tongue. Also, her eyes seldom fixate on the person to whom she may be addressing, the useless orbs instead darting about for little enough reason. Religion: She attributes all good fortune to the Valkoinen-Kaarme, the White Snake of the Sky, whom is often mentioned in the tales of "The Hunt". Education: She has no formal education, being raised by a woman of a more primitive race. She does, though, have some experience with herbs and herbal remedies, as well as various toxins. Language(s): Anachlyx would delight in the speech of her peoples, "Puheimo", but has gone to great lengths to learn the Westron language. Weapons (If Any): She has no training with weapons of any sort, save for poisons. Yet, even in these, she is not adept. Special Abilities: Anachlyx believes she was born with the gift of foresight, though this gift requires a strong stimulus to alert her as to something. Furthermore, due to her lack of sight, her other senses are greatly heightened, and she is very well coordinated for this fact. Position/Occupation: She holds no special place in society, residing upon the lowest rungs of civilization in Bree-town. She was once a beggar, but has since become the servant and lover of a man she believes to have been chosen by her god for some special purpose.

Background
((NOTE: Not everything that follows is true or accurate, as these events are recounted as she knows them. Due to her trauma, and her worship of an "evil god", she may perceive things differently than others. ))
Lahja-tytar was born to the harsh and eternal winter of Forochel, during the year (T.A.) 2988. Her conception was the result of an agreement betwixt Kookas-karhu, the chieftain of the Karhu-Heimo tribe, and Lahja-hylky, a witch. She was to heal the fatally wounded son of Kookas-karhu, in return for a child of her own. So, they lay together, and the sorceress bore a daughter. The boy survived, and Lahja Hylky departed, cradling her babe in her arms, and suckled to her breasts.
Eighteen years passed, and Lahja-tytar blossomed into a beautiful young woman, though markedly different from other children of the Lossoth. Her skin was so pale as to be likened to snow, and her hair was silver. But, above all, she had the gift of foresight. Her mother knew this to be a sign of blessing, delivered unto them by their god, Valkoinen-Kaarme, the White Snake of the Sky.
Unfortunately, whilst the witch's daughter was blessed, the chieftains' son was cursed. Since his restoration, he had become sick of mind, and feeble in body. His condition worsened with each passing day, and his father was enraged to learn that Lahja-Hylky was a devout worshipper of the White Snake. Ever had his people despised the Serpent, fearing his power and influence, and deciding him malevolent in nature.
Kookas-karhu summoned forth the enchantress, and she was unaware of the danger. Acquiring both her and Lahja-tytar, he beheaded the former and mounted her head as trophy in his snow-home, and blinded the latter with a flaming brand. Then, he cast Lahja-tytar into the cold wilderness, bared and naked, and allowed his men to pursue her in a hunt.
Hounding her with spear and arrow, the Karhu-heimo were dismayed to find that they could not fell her. Always she eluded them, her foresight allowing her to escape from them. After a time, they reasoned that she would succumb to the freezing temperatures in the end, and returned to their camps. However, the Valkoinen-Kaarme descended into the girl's body, and cast Death's cruel talons from her flesh, unwilling to let his servant perish.
He guided her from the lands of the Ice-Bays, and into the warm regions beyond. His strength waned greatly, and he was weakened, so far from the tundra to which he was bound. He abandoned Lahja-tytar now, and as he did their souls were ripped apart. Yet, having sheltered his presence within her, she was not unscathed for his leave. Her body was stronger than before, and her lack of sight (though debilitating, nonetheless was no longer such a hindrance, her other senses heightened incredibly.
She came to find herself in the town of Bree, alone and unsheltered. For her foreign origins, and lack of coin, she was swiftly shunned and swept aside into Beggar's Alley. She remained a denizen of filth there, trapped in the shadow of anonymity. For three years, she would beg alms of the more generous, and offer her talent as service. Through it all, she prayed to the Valkoinen-Kaarme, until one day he sent to her a dark saviour...
((More to be added, and the above is still subject to refinement.))
