Aega Gray certainly was born to the life of a Knight. Born as the illegitimate son of a Swan Knight to a milk maid Aega was raised outside Dol Amroth in the countryside on his mother's farm with his step-father. Aega suffered much hardship in his youth at the hands of his step-father who knew the boy to not be his own. His sea-grey eyes, his dark hair and glowing bright pale skin, he was no country breed boy. When he came of age Aega's birth father the Swan Knight Gray came to seek him out. He had provided no blood heir save for this one illegitimate son (that he was aware of). Much to Aega's dismay and anguish he was torn from his mother and carried away to Dol Amroth to become a Swan Knight.

He did not know his father long before he died in battle, and when his mother was killed by corsairs raiding inland Aega was left only with the Swan Knights as his family which caused Aega much sorrow and anger. As a Knight Aega hated himself, for he was full of bitterness and lived only for war and bloodshed. Unable to break his bloodthirsty cycle for much of his life Aega finally broke away and retired from Knighthood early and moved away from Belfalas to Bree-land for a quieter life. There he medicated himself with herbs and remedies to escape his rage filled past self. He became peaceful, calm and nature loving. But with the rise of shadow in the north Aega Gray is not unwilling to take up arms against evil once more.
