Outward Appearance

It has been said among the Shire folk that his smile can be seen from the next town over.  Golden hair spills in gentle waves to his shoulders and his mustache and goatee are ever trimmed to perfection.  His hazel eyes show clear and bright.  He dresses finely for every occasion and many of his clothes are gifts.  Cutting a handsome figure wherever he goes, he easily turns the eyes of women.  But what most dominates his appearance is that ever present smile, for Arashden has grown to become a truly happy man and it takes much to wipe it away.

Background

Arashden's father only recently retired from being a supplier in the Combe Crafting Halls while his mother left her job as a barmaid at the Combe and Wattle Inn early on to raise him.  Between the two of them, he found his self combing the countryside for supplies for the crafting halls and getting to know the Hobbits of Combe and Staddle.  With some need for protection as he searched the wilds, he became quite adept with the bow.  As word spread locally of his skill he was enlisted to travel with local caravans and protect their goods from marauding mercenaries.  Through these travels he got to know more and more of the hobbits and fell in love with their simple, fun loving natures.  As if this was not already well ingrained in his soul, he was sent on farther and farther caravan routes which eventually led him to the heart of The Shire.  There, under The Party Tree, his love of all things Hobbit was cemented.

His heart is like a traveling hobbit party, so full of joy and happiness almost nothing depresses him.  It is an infectious personality that rubs off on those around him, often making him the life of the party when he is among men.  The hobbits of The Shire, Combe, and Staddle welcome him with open arms, and he is ever being invited into their homes for food and drink, so much so they understand when he turns them down.  As much as he enjoys partying and hobbit food, he cannot eat on quite the same pace as they can without ballooning to a weight not advantageous to his career.

With the encroachments on the borders of The Shire and Breeland of late however, caravans travel less and his duties have begun to fall more on the defense of his homeland.  With the attack on Archet, the danger has clearly settled heavily in Breeland, along with evidence of traitors in their midst.  While still keeping his good humor, wit, and lust for life, Arashden now works his bow for the constables and shirrifs of the land.  Now, much to his mother's ever increasing worry, word is already filtering down to him that eventually he may find his self venturing farther out and deeper into danger's shadow.
