With an opinion on most things, she has no problem with letting others know exactly what she is thinking and exactly what it is that they happen to be doing wrong. Her downfall comes in her decision of keeping a quiet, secluded life, favouring travel that is not far from her home and occasionally staying overnight in the places where she performs. Contrary to her strong and sometimes harsh words, Helehuieth will only ever be moved to act in a proactive way if there is an imminent danger that will threaten her, preferring to make her contributions with her music instead. 

Originally from Mirkwood, Helehuieth left her birthplace when the threat of Sauron became too much for her to consider residing there in any sort of safety. With this danger looming, she made the decision to travel west in search of a new and quieter place to live. Now, after four hundred years of living there, and despite straying on occasion to the places that her occupation calls her, she will always return to her adopted home in Ered Luin. 

With no other wish than to lead a peaceful life, Helehuieth's travels take her to places where she feels she can promote this; when she sings, the stories she weaves can at times be sorrowful, though it is often that she can at times try to inspire feelings of chivalry in others. Though she would not say if asked, it is thought that her attempts of raising awareness through her music are her contribution to the efforts of the elves whom she left behind her.
