Lost ~ Part III

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

The wight stood several feet away, having stopped to look around. Eira waited, hoping it would go away. Instead, a bitterly cold and vile voice arose from it, icy eyes narrowing, "You cannot hide, mortal."

Leaving Eaworth

It’s almost relaxed that Lusseriel was sitting in the stable near her horse. The black creature was beautiful and a wonderful companion. Near her feet, Mrs Hops was munching on some hay that came from the horse feed.

Lusseriel patted the animal’s head and decided to pick up her diary and only stopped long enough to glare at a far too curious stable-hand until he got the message and left.

Ristiinnä's seed-cake, based on a recipe she learned from Nob, which he says comes from the Shire. A dish she's added to the rotation at the Prancing Pony for jälkiruoka (dessert, literally after-food) that she is trying to convince people to try.

The burden of happiness

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

Aellwenn sat by her front window as was her custom when deep in thought, happiness. What is happiness? And did she deserve it after all this time? The aristocrat in her wanted to step on the so-called 'peasants' in Bree-town. People were annoying her more than usual of late. But then what would that accomplish? Nothing wholesome or praiseworthy. No, it would only reinforce the ideas of her that were already present.

Back to Work

Story

Constable Tanglerush sat with her morning coffee in the gazebo, looking out onto Little Staddlemere rather than at Watcher Millaray Boggs, standing at attention before her. “At ease, Millie”, the Constable sighed, setting her cup on the railing. “I’m not the one angry at you. This is coming from Grimbriar, through Heathstraw, then to me.”

As their lips parted, Nimraph chuckled softly, "Welcome home."

Wounded and stuck in bed for at least two days, Eira had asked Nimraph to stay by her side until she slept, unable to bear the thought of being alone again. He stayed by her bedside, watching her. He planted another kiss on her cheek as she drifted away. Fading into sleep, that kiss had been the last thing she processed before slumber took her. She smiled. She was home.

How long had she wandered?

The fog never ceased, and the night was never ending. Carefully placing her walking stick before of her every step, she meandered the endless, rolling hills and barrow mounds. Only the occasional stone peer broke the scenery of fog, grass, and rolling mounds. She was hastily losing track of the time as she walked on and on.

Entry 10: Unsettled

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Diary

I knew life was too peaceful. When things are peaceful for too long, it creates stable grounds to breed strife.

I hired a young woman called Eira as staff at the Inn. She is thriving at the job, oerhaps a bit too much. I think I may teach hew to spin and weave. It may help her slow down.

First Lessons, First Blood

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

Nimraph finishes his second cup of lavender tea, starting to feel his eyelids droop. He rises from the chair briefly to set the cup on the mantle.

He sits back down with a sigh, casting his gaze to the sleeping woman he held vigil beside.
